We are an independent, interfaith, not-for-profit organization that brings the vital lessons of the Holocaust to teachers, students, and the community, and makes them relevant to today. Congratulations to our Chairman Richard Laster for receiving the OSSIE DAVIS HUMAN RIGHTS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from the Westchester County Human Rights Commission on December 11, 2007, Human Rights Day, in recognition of the many years of distinguished and dedicated service to the cause of human rights. Congratulations to one of our Board Members! On October 28, 2007 Rev. Dr. Charles R. Colwell received an award by the American Muslim Women's Association "for his commitment to building bridges among our diverse communities" as well as a Congressional Proclamation from Congresswoman Nita Lowey "for his 35 years of service to The Church of St. Barnabas and his involvement in our community".

Upstander Day - May 29. Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano officially declared May 29, 2008 as Upstander Day. A special day meant to encourage student activism and awareness by inspiring students to become "Upstanders" (rather than bystanders) -- and to take an active role in changing the world. More >>
